Mom’s Day in the Park is in its third year. This is a partnership between GFWC Bedford Woman’s Club and Bedford County Parks and Recreation. Originally called the Arts and Drafts, it originated as a Mother’s Day Shopping Market since it is held Mother’s Day weekend. The vision has always included kids activities, handmade arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, bands and beer and wine sales. It is meant to be a fun, relaxing time at Falling Creek Park for the whole family to enjoy. Last year we not only saw parents with their kids, the grandparents and other family members and friends were in tow. So join us for a great day of fun and a time to celebrate the Moms, Grandmothers, Aunts and friends that hold the honor of serving in that role. BTW, join us for a fun time of dancing on the lawn at 2 pm. We will hold a “flash mob” Line Dancing event lead by the ladies of GFWC Bedford Woman’s Club.
